Hello, my name is Ms. Dana Detterich.
I was raised in East Anaheim, CA and attended Catholic schools from k-12th grade. From a young age, I knew that teaching was my dream career. Before becoming a teacher, I worked as a freelance graphic and website designer. It was an exciting time when the internet was brand new. The event on 911 inspired me to go back to school to study history and finally pursue a teaching career. I attended California State University, Fullerton where I earned a history degree and teaching credential. In the future, I plan to continue pursuing higher education in both history and education. Although, without a doubt, teaching will always be my career and my calling, and I will be a teacher for a very, very long time.
